Will my dog be walked by the same walker each time?
For the majority of the time – yes victoria would be taking the walks herself. However in the rare occasion there is an illness or planned vacation your dog may be walked by victorias team member Lynn.
Lynn works part time at DCE is another fully trained and insured walker who covers victoria from time to time. Lynn gets fully trained with victoria on all newbies and introduced to owners and dogs before walking them herself.
Can I meet the person who will be looking after my pet or walking my dog?
Yes of course. Victoria would arrange with you an introduction at your house for familiar surroundings for your pet and let yourself and your pet get to know a bit about us and we get to know you and your pet/s too.
Do you work on Christmas day or boxing day?
Unfortunately not. Christmas opening hours are emailed and posted in November. However typically we are shut from the 25th December to the beginning of January.
Do you work bank holidays?
Yes we do.
How many dogs do you walk at a time?
We will only ever walk a maximum of 4 dogs to ensure all of their safety and to give each dog our full attention.
Can I have occasional walks?
Yes absolutely. We are very happy to offer ad hoc walks and are flexible when it comes to booking and if we can we will. Just ask!
Do you have to pay for walks and / or pet sitting up front?
Yes. you will receive and email for the following months dates and then invoiced with a weeks notice to make payment before the service/s are due to commence
What is the minimum amount of nights your pet sit for?
No minimum. 1 night is fine.
Do you offer evening and weekend walks?
Sorry unfortunately we do not however we will take weekend and evening walks when pet sitting.
Are you insured?
Yes we are fully insured. This includes Key protection as well as insurance covering each pet whilst in DCEs care.
What happens in an emergency?
You will be contacted at the first possible point if not immediately.

Should your pet need medical attention and we are unable to reach you or you’re given contact emergency number we will take your pet to their registered vets and seek medical assistance on your behalf.

How long are the walks?
45 minutes unless it’s too hot in summer which all customers will be notified if walks need to be reduced.
What security measures do you have in place?
All clients keys and personal information is kept separate. Personal data is filed away and keys are locked inside a key safe with ONLY your pets name on them and NOT your address. Both are also under 24 hour security camera surveillance.
My dog has not been spayed and neutered. Can you still walk them?
Yes. We will group them together carefully and avoid putting entire / intact dogs together. We also can keep them on lead if requested.
Does my dog need to have had all their Vaccines?
Yes we request your dogs and pets are fully up to date with their vaccines.
Do I need to be at home when you collect and drop off my dog?
No. The majority of customers are happy for us to hold keys for them which enables us to gain access to your dog without you being home.

Can I specify at a particular time for my dog to be walked?
We will find out what time of day works best for you and your dog and specify whether it will be mornings or afternoons for you.

Morning walks are carried out between 9am – 12pm and afternoons are taken between 12pm – 4pm in Summer. In winter the last walk is taken at 3pm.

Can dogs stay with you?
We come to you and stay with them in your homes to offer them the best comfort possible whilst you’re away.
Where will my dog be walked?
We offer a variety of walks around West Berkshire and Reading for all those lovely different sceneries and smells.
Do you have a cancellation policy?
Yes 48 hours notice before the walk commences and 4 weeks notice for pet sitting for a full refund or credit added to your account.
How do I get my dog started with you?

We Just got a puppy. Do you offer services for them?
Yes we love a puppy. We can offer home visits and walks. Its best to get your puppy well socialized as soon as possible and we will offer basic training.
Do you cater for all breeds?
Yes absolutely.
Do you walk dogs off lead?
Yes but if requested we also walk dogs on lead too.
What happens in bad weather?
We walk! In the very rare occasion that we are unable to get to your dogs you will be contacted and made aware first thing. The only weather that could possibly stop us is heavy snow and not being able to drive.
